NEW YORK—April 29, 2025—Amanda Charles, CSLP®, financial advisor at North Star Resource Group affiliate, Moxie Wealth Management, was today announced as a finalist for the 2025 InvestmentNews NextGen Advisor of the Year award.

This award recognizes financial advisors who have displayed excellence in their first three years through innovative business development, client retention and prospecting strategies.

Charles became a financial advisor in 2023. She is deeply committed to educating younger generations on smart money management, serving as the Moxie team’s student loan planning specialist and using her large social media following to expand financial literacy.

This strong presence allows Charles to connect with a wide range of clients and prospects, especially younger demographics for whom social media is a primary communications outlet. This allows her to expand her capabilities as a financial educator and has been a major contributing factor to her growing client base.

Besides social media, Charles uses other methods to help the next generation achieve financial literacy and independence. For example, she hosts financial wellness seminars for high school and college students, which have helped pave the way for multi-generational financial planning relationships to develop. She has also been a classroom speaker with BestPrep, a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides educational programs to students across the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas, since the fall of 2023. In this role, she focuses on imparting valuable financial literacy knowledge to each student to help set them up for future success.

Charles also leverages community engagement to boost her client relationships, most notably through her involvement with the Diaper Bank of Minnesota, which provides diapers to families in need. Since joining in January 2024, she has proudly served on the board of directors as the volunteer chair, coordinating the Diaper Bank’s volunteering efforts and event calendar to best meet the needs of the families it serves.
